Oakridge Arena - 15th Feb 2019
Given the recent news regarding Equine Flu, Oakridge Arena is taking the following precautions:
- All passports are to be checked by Lee/Diane/Show Secretary, before horses are unloaded.
- Any horse not correctly vaccinated or showing any signs of ill health, will not be permitted to compete/have lessons and will be asked to leave the premises.
- You can attend if your “booster” was within 7 days. You cannot attend if you have started a new course of vaccinations within 7 days. You can then attend after the 2nd vaccination has been administered.
- We recommend if your horse hasn’t been vaccinated within the last 6 months that you have a booster for Equine Flu, with a vaccine that contains the Florida Clade1. There are 2 such vaccines currently licensed in the UK, ProteqFlu and Equillis Prequenza. However we are not insisting on 6 monthly boosters.
